We are honoured that Professor Ajit Lalvani has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to address the next meeting of the IFB Next Generation Speaker Club. Professor Lalvani is a world-leading medical academic, innovator, entrepreneur and member of a very successful global family business - Vitabiotics, which was founded by his father Dr Katar Lalvani in 1971. As Chair of Infectious Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, Professor Lalvani has recently been responsible for developing the first new diagnostic test for TB infection in over 100-years, which has the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives around the world.
