Cranfield and Coutts offer programme to develop a successful and sustainable family business

Cranfield School of Management has joined forces with Coutts & Co to offer a new development programme for family businesses with aspirations to progress and grow.
The programme, the first of its kind to be launched by a UK business school, has been developed jointly by family business experts at Coutts and Cranfield. The four-day programme will run in two modules: May 17th – 19th, with a final day on July 6th.
Aimed at multi-generational family businesses based in the UK, the programme will get to the heart of what makes a family business successful and sustainable.
Participants will gain an understanding of how to balance the often competing demands of family membership and owning and managing the business, along with insights into maintaining the values of the business and the family through a tough trading environment.
Another fundamental part of the programme is a practical understanding of ensuring successful transition across the generations. The programme’s approach is highly interactive, comprising speaker presentations and group work, culminating in a robust development planning framework for the family and the business. Participants will join a faculty of experienced family business advisers from Coutts and Cranfield along with external family business owners and experts.
