Bella Hoare

Partner and Director, C. Hoare & Co

Bella joined the bank in 2000 and was invited to join the partnership in 2001.

Within the partnership she has board-level responsibility for Banking Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance. As a lending partner she works closely with the relationship managers. She has huge enthusiasm for meeting customers to help build the relationships and friendships that are key to our business. She is chair of the bank’s historic defined-benefit pension scheme.

Previously, Bella worked at Cazenove in London before moving to Moscow in 1994. She was instrumental in the creation of the Moscow back office for Brunswick Warburg (now UBS) in the emerging Russian equities market of the 1990s.

Bella’s home is on the Stourhead Estate and her garden is open annually for the National Garden Scheme. She is a painter in oils and exhibits locally.
