  • Damini Sharma

Damini Sharma

Damini is the Managing Director and Co-founder (alongside her ‘Papa’) of The OM Group, which began life in 2008 and now has a strong presence in the construction sector delivering services and training to clients and contractors.

She describes her three big passions as ‘life, business and construction’, which she puts into practice by being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the company whilst driving its growth goals in an industry that is notoriously difficult and, in many cases, archaic in its development.

As a member of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business programme Alumni and a Visiting Industrial Fellow at Aston University, Damini is committed to business learning and growth at all levels and sharing that learning throughout her organisation and with her peers.

No matter which hat she's wearing, her goal is simple - to grow her business; ensure that the industry she has a passion for changes its image in order to effect positive change and encourage further innovation and growth in any way that she can. She is also an advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion.

Being the leader of a family business, with an extended family with traditional roots, and being a female in a traditionally male-dominated industry, has been challenging too, as Damini will attest to herself. She is committed to sharing her learnings and her journey, to help the next generation of family-business leaders.
