Neil Russell: Executive Chairman of PJ Care
Neil joined PJ Care in April 2001, as Home Manager at Bluebirds. Since then he has worked in many roles across the Company, becoming Executive Chairman in January 2016.
Neil’s experience in the early days of PJ Care saw him working in every role, including providing cover as a Care Assistant and Chef. Since then he has worked in every position in the organisation and played a key role in developing the Company’s operational, financial and HR systems.
Neil managed the design and development of Mallard House and Eagle Wood, providing buildings that were innovative and gave the residents an environment that met their needs and made providing care simpler and more effective.
Prior to joining PJ Care, Neil spent 12 years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, serving tours in Abu Dhabi, Brasilia and Warsaw, with a variety of responsibilities including, Head of Communications; Vice Consul; Management Officer and Press and Information Officer.
During tours in London, Neil worked on the US Desk and was the lead advisor for Ministers on conventional weapons including the banning of anti-personnel land mines.
After leaving school in 1986 Neil worked for Trust House Forte as a Restaurant Manager.
