A NxG networking event with a fireside chat with Eleanor Thatcher from Thatchers Cider and Amy Rodwell from C. Hoare & Co.
The event will begin with a fireside chat with Eleanor Thatcher (5th Gen, Thatchers Cider) and Amy Rodwell (12th Gen, C. Hoare & Co.) who will discuss their onboarding experiences at their respective family businesses. The chat will be followed by a drinks reception where you will be able to network with others from the NXG community.
Eleanor is a fifth-generation English cider maker. Thatchers has become well known in the UK and international markets for the quality, individuality and provenance of its ciders, backed by the heritage of a family company that has been in Somerset for over 100 years.
Eleanor joined the business in 2018, and is currently working her way through all of its departments to gain in-depth knowledge and experience across every working part of the business. Protecting the environment is a cause close to Eleanor’s heart and ensuring the sustainability of the business for future generations.
Amy joined C.Hoare & Co. in 2015 and became a partner in 2021. Prior to joining, she worked in the charity sector, where she specialised in public relations and fundraising. Within C.Hoare, she has held a wide range of positions, starting in Messrs Hoare Trustees, where she supported customer's philanthropic giving via the Master Charitable Trust.
Amy leads on the bank’s carbon-reduction strategy and takes an active interest in the bank’s wider environmental policies. As a member of the leadership circle of United for Global Mental Health, she champions wellbeing within the company.
