The Community Impact of Family Business in the UK
30th October 2019
The IFB Research Foundation and the University of Birmingham have partnered to carry out new research on understanding of the impact family firms have on society and how they engage with the communities they belong to. The project will shed new light on three important questions:
- How do family firms engage with the communities they belong to?
- What impact do family businesses have on the communities they belong to?
- How do family firms contribute to the vitality, well-being, prosperity, and sustainability of the communities they belong to?
The aim of the project is to provide useful guidance for family firms through on how family firms engage with their communities and to highlight best practices. This research will also help policymakers better understand the impact family businesses have on a region when shaping growth and prosperity.
