On 22nd February the Prime Minister laid out how the UK Government intends to lift restrictions in England.
On 23rd February the First Minister laid out the framework for lifting restrictions in Scotland.

New support announced for the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors
The Government has announced that businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors are to receive a one-off grant worth up to £9,000. Access the full guidance.
Chancellor extends furlough and loan schemes
The furlough scheme has been extended until the end of April 2021 with the government continuing to contribute 80% towards wages – giving businesses and employees across the UK certainty into the New Year, the Chancellor announced. Access the full guidance.
Companies House issue ‘don’t leave it until the last minute’ advice to businesses
Companies across the UK are being urged not to leave filing their annual accounts until the last minute and consider going paperless, as the disruption caused by coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect people’s lives, businesses and the economy. Paper accounts submitted too close to the 31 December 2020 deadline, which are then rejected, risk not having enough time to be corrected, re-submitted and manually checked.

The Government has announced that furloughed workers planning to take paid parental or adoption leave will be entitled to pay based on their usual earnings rather than a furloughed pay rate. Find out more here.
